A properly constructed and presented CV is a very valuable tool in finding your next and subsequent jobs once you leave the Armed Forces. A CV is essentially a short document about yourself and what you've done in your working life. It is something that most employers want to see.
The better your personal 'advertisement', the more you will stand out from the crowd and the more likely a prospective employer will want to interview you for a particular position.
Putting together a really strong CV isn't difficult however it's often something that many people (both military and civilian) haven't really had to do before or even think about; hence it can be a daunting task on your own. The key is not just the content of the CV but also the layout and general clarity to the reader. Making an impact on the reader is very important, so your 'advertisement' needs to be right.
Remember this is YOUR document so we work closely with you to make sure it's right. We aim to produce a great, professional document that is not only right for employers but right for you in terms of your understanding of it and your ability to explain what you've done in your professional life. It should bring out all your strengths and achievements but be highly credible and compelling to anyone reading it.
It doesn't matter if you're young with relatively few years working or if you are a senior member of the military with many years of service. Equally it doesn't matter if you already have a CV that needs updating and/or improving or need one produced from scratch.
